Expense Robot Is Now Called Yokoy And We Launch The Yokoy Mastercard!

We have amazing news! As of today Expense Robot is called Yokoy, comes in a fresh look and offers its own company credit card. Together with Hypothekarbank Lenzburg, we are launching the new Yokoy Prepaid Business Mastercard. 

It is Switzerland’s first fully integrated corporate card with no FX fees and no card fees, offering a revolutionary solution for corporate spending management.

A revolutionary company card with no fees for Switzerland

What is new for the Swiss market is that companies will not have to pay foreign exchange or card fees with the Yokoy Mastercard. Up to now, there have been similar offers primarily for private customers (N26, Revolut).

 

The Yokoy Prepaid Business Mastercard is automatically connected to the Yokoy Expense Management platform – integrating the entire expense and spending management process of a company – from payment to the correct accounting booking in their Finance System to compliant archiving. 

 

The Yokoy solution for automated expense- and corporate credit card processing uses artificial intelligence (AI), which has proven to be a huge success. SIX Group and Swisscom participated early on as strategic investors and supported Yokoy.

 

As a result, more than 100 companies have been onboarded to the Yokoy tool in less than a year, including well-known names such as Swissquote and Hero. We have built up our inhouse “AI Research Lab” employing a team of leading physicists and mathematicians in Zurich, to ensure continuous development of our AI models.

 

Based on this technology, Yokoy is able to fully automate all processes in expense- and card processing management.

Integration is key

Yokoy is already integrated in all major Finance-, HR- and business travel tools, such as SAP, Abacus, SAGE, MS Dynamics, UBER, bta first travel and TravelPerk (only mentioning a few). The integrations are mostly carried out via the programming standard REST API, which allows secure data exchange in real-time. The offer also includes active fraud prevention, which automatically indicates potential fraud cases to the customer and subjects them to manual checks.

"Revolut for Business for Switzerland"

We are convinced that the corporate card business needs a revolution. With the offerings of Revolut, N26, Neon and Co., customers today expect a fully integrated card without fees that can be managed completely online. 

 

The business solutions offered by the neobanks so far often focus strongly on banking services, whereby the process management- and system integration part is often neglected. 

 

When we told our customers about the revolutionary company card without fees, we were often asked whether we were the new Revolut for Business for Switzerland. You could call us that, but we cover additional aspects such as system connections, VAT reclaim add-ons and flexible approval flows.

Why did we change the name from Expense Robot to Yokoy?

With the launch of the Yokoy Business Mastercard we are changing our name from Expense Robot to Yokoy. 


After we added the card option to our range of products, the old name no longer suited us because it didn’t cover the card payment solution and many new products that are coming out soon. 


Therefore we’ve decided to rebrand under the name Yokoy. It’s a fantasy name that we can now fill with our vision of cutting-edge spend management for corporate customers.
